Check-in and check-out. Check-in from 3 pm · Check-out by 12 noon. Need to leave later? Ask us in advance.
Heating. It is programmed to keep the house comfortable all day. Please don't touch the thermostats: any change upsets the schedule. If you'd like it warmer or cooler, let us know and we'll adjust it.
Fireplace. You'll find firewood, kindling and firelighters. Open the air vent fully before lighting it. Always use the fireguard. Don't leave it burning when you go out or go to bed. Put the ashes in the metal bucket, only once they are cold.
Fireplace fan. It has two switches: first the wall switch (to the right of the fireplace), then the one on the fireplace unit (0, I, II). Without the wall switch on, the other one won't work.
Outdoor lights. Switch with a green light next to the kitchen, labelled as outdoor lighting. It controls the patios and parking area. Green light on = outdoor lights off.
Water. Tap water comes from the Riello village supply. For drinking, bottled water is better: we leave you a complimentary 5-litre bottle.
Rubbish. Bin at the entrance to the house, as you go out to the street. Tied bags, please.
Power cut. The fuse box is at the bottom of the stairs. Flip up any switch that is down. If it trips when several appliances are on at once (oven, dishwasher…), turn one off before switching it back on. If it keeps tripping, call us.
TV. It's a Smart TV.
First aid and fire extinguishers. The first-aid kit is on the living-room bookcase. The fire extinguishers are in plain view around the house.
Barbecue. It's in the garden and uses firewood, which we leave ready for you. You can use it with care: never leave it unattended, keep anything flammable well away and put it out completely when you finish. On days with a wildfire risk alert, lighting fires is forbidden. If that happens during your stay, we'll let you know by WhatsApp.
House rules. No smoking indoors; you can smoke on the porch, in the garden or on the patio (ashtrays provided). Please keep noise down after 11 pm.
